This week, Captain Spike and First Mate Slaggy McWaggy take a look at more recent and recently discovered instances of lost media and cut content in games! As part of the Game Buoy Remake Project initiative, they follow up on Game Buoy Podcast Episode 52 – The Never-Played Symphonies, originally published on May 9, 2014. Back in 2014, the Podcast Pirates talked about well-known instances of unreleased games, including ones that would later see the light of day with official releases such as Star Fox 2. In this week’s episode, Captain Spike and First Mate Slaggy examine more recent and recently discovered examples through the lens of cut content, lost media, and how live service games can become lost media when content is removed or the games are shut down altogether.
