This week, the Podcast Pirates take a look at the franchise that spawned an entire sub-genre: Mario Kart! With the recent release of Mario Kart 8 and its near universal acclaim, Captain Spike and First Mate Slagkick look back on the history of what could possibly be Nintendo’s flagship series at this point. The Pirates discuss each game and what it contributed to the growth of the franchise. Then, Spike and Slagkick discuss a handful of other kart racing games that are notable, for good or bad!
