Fifteen years ago, Pokemon Red and Blue hit North American shores and started a multimedia sensation. With October’s release of Pokemon X and Y,  the Podcast Pirates have been feeling the Pokemania come back with a vengeance. Then, First Mate Slagkick and Captain Spike examine the legacy of Pokemon through its status as a media franchise and its impact on the gaming industry. Finally, the Podcast Pirates discuss the current state of the franchise and look ahead to the future of Pokemon.
